Well, we are in Houston and on our way home today (yay!). It's much nicer here than I expected...very green! I thought it would be a dry, barren wasteland but it's not at all. It's actually quite pretty.
Everyone here is SO nice - there really is something to that 'southern hospitality' that people talk about!
Parker and Anna rode an airplane for their first time! They were so great! We sat right behind first class and a passenger in first class commented on how well they did! It was the smallest plane I've ever been on...a CRJ9000 regional jet. I get nervous on planes so I was just happy when we landed!
We've mostly been looking at houses but we've taken some time to check the area out. There's a great place called the River Walk that has a bunch of posh stores and restaurants. There's a river that runs alongside it with canal boats and trolleys that take you up and down the river. It's pretty neat. Of course the kids liked playing in the fountains the most!

They also enjoyed the pool - here you can still swim in outdoor pools this time of year!

Well, this is it for now. We've got to get packed up so we make it to the airport on time! We hope everyone is doing well!

Jess - I don't know weather to say "sounds good" or "I hate you!" :) No, really we are ALL shocked about the move and saddened, BUT... I am sure I speak for everyone that we just want what is best for your family too! I hope things went well. Let us know if you found a house and everything. Talk to you soon!

It sounds like a nice place. I guess we will just have to come down and visit you after you move, so there! Can't get rid of us that easy :)
I hope everything works out and the transition is easy for you and your kids, but we will sure miss you. sniff..
Jessica,
I Love it in Texas! We usually go to San Antonio. I hope all goes well with your move. I am sad to see you go! Your family is Awesome!
I just found your blog from Christine's. We wish you all the best in your move to Houston. My brother just moved there this summer. They love the zoo there, and have great pictures of alligators. We'll miss you in the ward, but I'm sure you'll have a great time!
